Faculty Directors
The faculty director is responsible for the quality of instruction and the curriculum of the applied discipline for which they provide leadership in the Applied and Professional Studies program. The director facilitates internal University of Minnesota relations with full-time faculty, colleges and departments, and external partners; serves as a liaison with adjunct faculty; communicates about programmatic issues with the Academic Council; interprets the needs of industry through advisory committees; and fosters a sense of community between faculty and institutional partners in the academic programs. Academic Advisers
uAPS academic advisers assist students in their academic careers. Advisers are very knowledgeable about their specialty major(s) and knowledge areas, including program admission, major prerequisites, course prerequisites, scheduling, and deadlines. Faculty can also refer students to advisers regarding questions on enrollment, such as permission to add or withdraw from a class.
